“popart” graphic

ok so a couple of people wanted me to do a tutorial on how to make something like this

its relatively simple and you can add text and stuff when you’re done to make it look more like a graphic or w/e

ok so first you pick a cap, i’m using this one

after you pick yours, crop it 500x200

then under “adjustments” click ‘threshold” and adjust to your liking

i have this now 

after you’ve done that add this texture  and set it to darken and play with the opactiy/fill (i usually leave mine on 100% because it looks fine)

now i have this 

next put this texture 

and this texture to screen and play with opactiy/fill

now i have this 

ok we’re half done!

now choose another cap, i chose this one 

ok now crop that to 500cm x 300cm

and repeat what you did with the first cap

now i have this

now this is where its different from the first cap

choose a light leak texture, i chose this one

drag this layer under the two texture layers and set it to darken 

now i have this 

ok so now open a new document that’s 500x500

and drag the caps onto it like this 

well technically you’re done unless you want to add some text, which i did and this is my final product

i don’t really like the text so i’ll probably take it off but you can also add some abstract textures to make it look more complicated and shit or w/e but yeah just experiment with some textures and voila!
