THG 30 Day Challenge - Day 9: Favorite Quote

“No, when the time comes, I’m sure I’ll kill just like everybody else. I can’t go down without a fight.”

So I guess this needs some explaining as to why it’s my favorite out of all the wonderful quotes in the book. I just admire the fact that, while everyone thinks Katniss is sullen and bleak, they think Peeta is just wonderful and innocent, but Peeta doesn’t pretend that he’s this humble god who’s too good to kill anyone. He knows that if it comes down to it, he’ll be just the same as everyone else but the difference is, he doesn’t want to be.
